Belinda Avery, a young, educated woman thought she had the perfect life. An aspiring career, a beautiful home tucked in the hills of Los Angeles and a loving fiancée… Until she collided with a “stranger,” Matthew Terrell who sparked vivid flashbacks from a life they shared together in the 18th century. Matthew disappears while Belinda frantically searches for him absorbed by the memories of their powerful love affair, the child they shared and a horrifying death that changed their lives forever. This story takes an in-depth look into the possibility of life after death and the bonds that never sever as Belinda seeks her true love and convinces him they will forever share AN ETERNITY TOGETHER.
“My daughter wants your son, Edward. Not sure why she wants James but she does and I damn her for it. There are others I would choose for her to marry. A man who can support her and my future grandchildren in the manner of which she is accustomed. The way I see it, right now that is not possible since your family business is bankrupt. James will have to take care of Mary in the fashion she is accustomed to and the only way for all of us to benefit is by you signing this contract.” He pushed the papers back to Edward Dallon. “I want nothing but my wife’s and daughter’s happiness and you want nothing but your family business up and running…so to speak. Forget about true love, James will learn to care for and love Mary in time. You will see. In the meantime, your wealth will return and we all will have sanity.” Richmond pointed firmly toward the contract.
Korth continued, “You are broke Edward. You have little money, no assets, two maybe three horses and parched land. How are you planning to acquire the cash to earn back what you lost in the fire? Farming is not for you with sixteen-hour workdays and barely a crop to show for the labor. Think of the fast horseflesh you can buy, with my help of course. By this time next year you will have the richest stable in Massachusetts.” He reached across the worn mahogany table and dropped a quill pen on top of the contract. “Your family will live in grand wealth, your horses will be winning races all over the state, and you and the entire Dallon family will never want for anything Edward, for your signature on this contract.”
Lara Cullen slipped quietly into the back of the Meeting House. She wore a soft, long gray dress; her white bonnet pulled down over thick strawberry blond hair. Her green eyes were pools of sadness. Today she wanted to be a shadow, for the man she loved was set to marry another woman.
Lara sat in the last bench, wishing to be as inconspicuous as possible and pretending not to be angry and pitiful as she ached to be the one to walk down the aisle. She was supposed to be James’s bride, and certainly was his bride in her heart…

Captured Me
I’m not usually into love stories, but this one sucked me in instantly. I read it in just a few short days. I was not expecting the plot twist that it had. Hoping there is a sequel. But overall, great book.

For fans of historical fiction.
A story about love, past lives and finding each other again. I loved the historical fiction element to the book and the details of their life in the past. The story line switches between the late 1700s and modern day. In 1772 Edward Dalton is forced, to have his son, James marry a wealthy family’s daughter in town, even though James is in love with Lara. James knows the marriage to Mary is the only way to save his family. In modern day, Belinda has a chance encounter with Matthew on the beach and knows there is a connection and has dreams and flashbacks to their lives as James and Lara. After their chance encounter she is determined to find Matthew. Once she finds him can she convince him that they are destined to be together?

Well, I didn’t see that coming!
I loved the book. The whole concept is very interesting and the characters will have you feeling as though you have known them forever. If you are not sure about past lives or the possibility of reincarnation after reading this you will be open to the possibility that it may very well be possible. As a reader, it will usually take me a week or 2 to finish a book but this one caused me to lose some sleep as once i picked it up i could not put it down. In only a matter of a few days i was finished and left wanting for more. With going back and forth from the present to the past you are in effect given 2 stories and both are great reads. For me what i loved most was there are several “Well I Certainly Did Not See That Coming” moments. This book has it all: Love, hate, life, death, something for all. I look forward to this Authors next book.
